Privacy Policy

Overview

Insta Tools works without accounts and with as little personal data as possible. This policy explains which information is processed when you visit the site, use one of our tools or contact us. If you have any questions, write to us at info@instatools.com.

When you use a tool

To fetch public Instagram content, the link or username you enter is sent to our server, which requests the content from Instagram and shows you the result. You never need to log in, and we will never ask for your Instagram password.

We do not build a profile of you and we do not keep a history of the links or usernames you look up on our servers. If you allow "Saved results" in the cookie settings, your recent results are kept only in your own browser (see the Cookie Policy) and never sent back to us. The media itself is loaded from Instagram's servers; we do not keep a collection of the content you retrieve.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to handle your request, and we delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

To keep bots away, the tools, the contact form and the admin login use a short security check: Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser (such as your IP address), or, where Turnstile is not available, a small calculation done by your own browser that sends us no personal data.

Technical data

Like any website, our servers and our hosting provider automatically process technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We use this data only to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to prevent abuse (for example, by limiting excessive requests), and we keep it only for a short time.

Cookies

We use very few cookies: one remembers your language, one remembers that you have seen the cookie notice, and administrators receive a session cookie when they sign in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You will find the details in our Cookie Policy.

Why we process data

We process data:

• to provide the tools and pages you ask for;
• to answer the messages you send us;
• to keep the service secure, stable and free of abuse, which is our legitimate interest;
• to meet our legal obligations.

Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider and Cloudflare for spam protection, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. When you use a tool, the link or username you entered is used to request the public content from Instagram. We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@instatools.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Insta Tools is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to our systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle.

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
